​Thank you all for donating to Newark Neighbours as part of our Give & Treat campaign. We filled three trunks' worth of food and raised $1,000 in money donations!

It's neighbours like you that make a neighbourhood a community.
 

A message from Cindy Grant, Newark Neighbours Food Bank Manager, to all those in the Village who donated as part of the VCA Social Committee’s Give and Treat Campaign:

On behalf of the Newark Neighbours Food Bank volunteer team, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. Your generosity with food and monetary donations from your Halloween event was overwhelming. We estimated that over 200 pounds of food were delivered on Saturday by your teams. That donation, along with the cheques and cash you provided, will help us tremendously as we prepare for a happy and generous holiday season with our clients and their families. 

Again, the phrase “Thank You” is not sufficient to express our gratitude for your donations. The Village Association, and the broader Niagara-on-the-Lake community, consistently allows our Food Bank to serve the less fortunate in our community. The phrase has never been truer: “It Takes a Village.”
