WHAT THE VCA DOES FOR YOU

MISSION

To foster a harmonious community, provide a strong voice

within the municipality, and preserve and enhance the beauty of The Village

​

The VCA advocates on behalf of The Village residents: 

To the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake to bring resident concerns to the forefront; on issues such as parking, traffic control, use of parkland, garbage collection, and street lighting; and can help neighbours who may need assistance during Covid and beyond.
 
The VCA supports Garden & Lighting Committees to enhance The Village's appearance: Examples include: holiday decorations for the streets and parks in The Village;
candle lighting (Lumières); and The Village common gardens and

garden maintenance at the community mailboxes.
 
The VCA supports the Social Committee with activities for residents:  

Examples include community garage sale, sunset social, Canada Day

celebrations (porch decorating contest), annual golf tournament, and

a holiday dinner/dance.  Check out the past events through the gallery.

 

The VCA supports committees to address members' needs and initiatives:

The VCA negotiates discounts with local businesses for VCA members:  

Members receive discounts from our Loyalty Partners on products and services.

Plus discounts for our own social events where fees are required. Review the

Benefits of Membership for a list of current local business discounts and our Loyalty Partners. 

 
The VCA provides regular communication via newsletters and the website:

The VCA provides timely information on VCA activities: As required in our Bylaws the VCA Executive Board organizes two General Meetings each year for residents and provides all required documents to keep residents informed including: Newsletters, General Meeting minutes, Financial Statements, and related materials.

​

The VCA is willing to assist residents who may need help: In these challenging times, if a resident needs assistance with errands, shopping, or other necessities, the VCA is willing to pick up or deliver to homes as needed. As well we have provided COVID information for our residents. Contact us.

The VCA Annual Membership Card is valid from May 1 - April 30
