The VCA Social Committee is pleased to announce a new and exciting community event.
The Village’s classic architecture — especially its abundance of front porches — makes it the perfect setting to participate in Play Music on the Porch Day, a global celebration of music, creativity, and community.
On Saturday, August 29 at 4:00 pm, The Village will join communities around the world in this annual event. Residents and visitors are invited to stroll through the Village and enjoy live performances from local musicians playing from selected front porches. Additional details will be shared as we approach the date.
Play Music on the Porch Day encourages people of all ages and skill levels to step outside and share music with neighbours and friends. It is a wonderful opportunity to connect, inspire, and celebrate the universal language of music.
We know our community is full of talented people, and we have several musicians lined up so far, but would like to give all of our residents the chance to volunteer to perform and join the fun.
If you are interested in performing or have any questions, please respond to socialcommitteevca@gmail.com by Sunday, August 9, keeping in mind there are no qualifications required to perform for this event. You could play the guitar, the violin, keyboard, saxophone, or sing! Whatever instrument you like to play!
