Annual Village Holiday Tree Lighting

Another Soggy but Stunning Tree Lighting!

Well, it may have been a little wet (okay, A LOT wet), but the magical spirit of the season wasn't dampened at the Annual Tree Lighting & Potluck.

In spite of the rain, we had an impressive turnout and LOTS of yummy food! Thank you to everyone who came out, donated to the NOTL Hydro toy drive and chipped in for the potluck. Special shoutout to Dave Wilson for providing the warm apple cider even though he couldn't attend the event himself!

This year was extra special thanks to the amazingly talented duo, Mel & Grace, who sang holiday classics so beautifully. If you want to hear their lovely voices again this season, be sure to catch "A Very Merry Mel & Grace Christmas" Saturday, December 23 at the Chippawa Presbyterian Church.  Purchase tickets to the concert

By the way, a big thank you goes out to the good Samaritans who let us plug into their porch power outlet so that Mel & Grace could perform.

The Social Committee would also like to thank Sue Henry and Greg Fedoryn for lending us a tent, and Diane Fahlman for donating her tent to the VCA.

Speaking of tents, thank you to Social Committee "associates" Danny Pehar, Ron van der Wagen and Bruce Murdoch for assembling and disassembling them.

Of course, the Annual Tree Lighting wouldn't be a tree lighting without lights. Thank you to all the Village volunteers who helped make this happen and to Dale DesIslets for spearheading this wonderful initiative each and every year. Your work is truly appreciated!
